Good luck!

I’ve been thinking about doing some promotional stuff for my new book … maybe some You Tube videos and such. Since NLP is really based on behavioral modeling I’ve been looking for ways to model all the viral videos that are out there — and there seems to be a LOT of them!

It’s difficult to determine what the right set of components are in order to meet all the criteria needed to make my ads a phenomenal success; music, action, simplicity, humour, emotion, etc., etc., etc. It’s just all so much to figure out.

Instead I’ve decided to see if I can find an expert who I can model — what do you think of this guy as a good standard of personal excellence for my book promotion ideas …

One of the foundational concepts of NLP is that we all have our own Model of the World — our own personal understanding of how the world works and what to expect. For myself, as an NLPer, I find that the funniest practical jokes seem to play on messing with a person’s map of reality … human’s are hilarious in the fact that, so long as the explanations or our experience is in line with our expectations of how the world works, we are gullible enough to believe almost anything! Case in point …

For all my NLP students and colleagues out there, here are a few NLP jokes that I’ve found around the internet…

Q. Why did the NLPer cross the road?

A. It’s not important. what is important is how specifically did they cross the road?

Q. What NLP techniques do speed seducers like most?

A. In Bedded Commands!

Q. How many meta modelers does it take to change a light bulb?

A. In what way, exactly, would you like it to be ”changed”?

Q. How many milton modelers does it take to change a light bulb?

A. Think about it.

Q. How many psychoanalysts does it take to change a light bulb.

A. 1 – but it must reeeally want to change

Q. Why did the man give his photo albumn to Richard Bandler?

A. He wanted the pictures reframed.

Q. Why was the NLPer so happy?

A. Because he met a model.

Q. How many metaphors to change a light bulb?

A. Many hands make light work!

Q. How does the egomaniac screw in a lightbulb?

A. He just holds the bulb up to the light fitting and the whole world revolves around him.

big grin  If you have any more please feel encouraged to share them with us…

I just realized today that I haven’t updated my blog in over a MONTH! Wow! … I guess I’ve been so busy with getting the new verbal self defense book to publication that I completely forgot to keep everyone updated on our progress in life!

Well … I’ll be fixing that important oversight quite soon.
